Benefits & Wellbeing

  • As a global business, building careers across countries and cultures is part of who we are. Our Share & Care programme ensures everyone benefits from the same high standard of healthcare and support throughout their journey with us, wherever they are in the world.

Marketing

  • Our strategy, "universalisation", is more than globalisation. It's a celebration of differences. Every country has its own culture, habits and vision of beauty, and that diversity is what drives us forward. Our marketing teams work closely with regional research centres to understand different skin types, hair needs and consumer expectations in the most relevant way possible. The result? Wherever you are in the world, chances are there is already a L'Oréal product in your home.

  • Of course. You have the freedom to go beyond traditional boundaries and spark ideas that can travel globally. Yes, we have global guidelines, but you’ll also have the autonomy to shape your local brand strategy and adapt it to win in your market. Put simply, if you can combine bold creativity with commercial rigour, your creative freedom is limited only by your own ambition.

  • We’re already a digital-first company. Our marketers use augmented reality tools like ModiFace for virtual try-ons, leverage data to anticipate beauty trends, and manage sophisticated retail media strategies. With Beauty Tech at our core, marketing here means mastering ROI, performance and data, alongside bold, scroll-stopping storytelling across platforms like TikTok and Instagram.

  • Through our L'Oréal for the Future programme, sustainability is no longer optional; it’s a core performance metric. Marketers are expected to lead the charge by launching products with stronger environmental credentials, from refillable packaging to waterless formulas to bio-sourced ingredients. Our ambition is clear: empower consumers to make more sustainable choices without compromising on performance or brand desirability.

Research & Innovation

  • Here, management is not the only route to progression; it’s simply another specialisation. You can grow your influence, salary and title, all the way up to Expert Fellow from Scientific Expert, by developing through your technical impact, patents and scientific authority. With our Dual Career Ladder, you don’t have to trade your lab coat for a spreadsheet to move up. We value scientific mastery as much as people leadership.

  • Yes, really. Every Research & Innovation employee has objectives linked to our L'Oréal for the Future sustainability targets. If a breakthrough formula isn’t biodegradable or relies on a non-sustainable solvent, it does not launch. Sustainability constraints are one of the main drivers of innovation here.

  • We don't just look for "the best person on paper". Through technical peer interviews, you will speak directly with the scientists or engineers you could be working alongside. We are not interested in textbook recitation. We want to see how you think when a test fails. We look for what we call scientific courage: the ability to defend your data while staying open to a better idea.

Human Relations

  • In short: business impact. It’s not about activity levels or process completion; it’s about the strength of your talent pipeline, the agility of the teams you support and your ability to challenge the status quo to drive the business forward.

  • We invest heavily in early-career talent. In fact, we welcome thousands of interns and trainees every year. The main ways to join are through internships, apprenticeships, VIE or our SeedZ Management Trainee Programme for HR, where you will rotate across roles to build business acumen before taking on broader HR responsibilities. We’re looking for potential, curiosity and long-term ambition over perfect HR degrees.

  • Why wait? You’ll do real work from day one, because we make big bets on potential. Whether you join as an intern or a junior specialist, you will manage your own projects, work directly with business stakeholders and be expected to defend your ideas. You’ll take action, not notes.

  • Technology doesn't replace the human touch at L'Oréal - it powers it. We harness AI and digital solutions to take care of repetitive processes and surface sharper insights. That leaves us with more time to sit with business leaders, shape talent strategies, and have real, meaningful career conversations.

  • We sit at the leadership table. You will be expected to challenge business leaders, drive organisational design and own talent strategies that influence business performance, not just execute processes. If you’re looking to go beyond HR basics, this is the place for you.

  • Absolutely. We have 14 HR sub-métiers, and we actively encourage moves across specialisations to help develop well-rounded HR leaders. Your career path isn’t a straight ladder here. It’s something you will shape with support from our dedicated HR for HR team.

Finance

  • Far from it. The basics still matter, but they aren't the job. You’ll use Python to automate financial models, apply AI to spot risks early or structure deals for our BOLD venture capital fund. You are here to drive the business forward, not just report on it.

Corporate Affairs & Engagement

  • Start by asking the right questions: what’s the issue, who are the stakeholders and what’s the risk for the business? Then propose your approach. It doesn’t have to be perfect. We want to see clear, structured and pragmatic thinking, with evidence that you’ve considered the key angles and left nothing to chance.

Digital Marketing

  • L'Oréal's MarTech (Marketing Technology) stack is a sophisticated, integrated ecosystem that powers our augmented marketing strategy, combining world-class external platforms with powerful internal tools.

  • L’Oréal is a matrix organisation. Digital here isn’t one isolated department but is embedded right into the business. You won't work in a silo; you’ll be part of a collaborative setup that generally looks like this:

    · At the brand or division level in global teams: You could be attached to a specific brand (like Lancôme, CeraVe or Garnier) within one of our four divisions. In this setup, you’ll create consistent, unique 360-degree consumer experiences globally by understanding brand DNA, consumer needs, and expectations.

    · At the zone or local level: Our zone teams act as regional hubs, adapting strategy for their part of the world. Our local country teams develop tailor-made activation plans adapted to consumer needs and local specificities; they drive the actual business performance on the ground.

    · At the corporate level: You’ll sit in a central team of experts that supports all brands, divisions and regions to lead the digital transformation globally. You’ll develop excellence in execution guidelines and golden rules, a cooperative mindset across brands and expertise with multiple business challenges.

  • The balance between global guidelines and local execution is a core part of L’Oréal’s "glocal" strategy. The philosophy is simple: global teams set the framework, strategic guidelines, and tools, while local teams drive the actual business performance on the ground, adapting and executing campaigns according to consumer needs and local specificities.

  • Consumer data is everywhere at L’Oréal - and you’ll be the architect turning it into action. We’re moving beyond traditional, siloed CRM toward an integrated, governed Consumer Data Ecosystem: far more than a database, it’s a growth engine that powers our consumer activations. You’ll collaborate closely with Media, E-commerce, Marketing & Product, Retail, Care and Services teams to make sure consumer insights are shared, understood, and activated across the business. Accessibility is high, but always responsibly governed by our Privacy & Data Sharing Rules - protecting both our brands and our consumers’ trust.

  • Yes. Digital campaigns have a massive carbon footprint, and we are actively reducing ours. Here, you’ll measure the environmental impact of your media spend and content production. On a practical level, this means optimising file sizes, targeting heavy video content over WiFi and tracking the footprint of our influencer partnerships. We train our teams on this because sustainable marketing is a daily reality here, not a side project.

Medical & Aesthetics

  • In this métier, sustainability is both environmental and social. On the social side, you'll work on initiatives like Act for Dermatology to improve global access to care and fight the mental health stigma of severe skin conditions. Environmentally, you'll work with strict targets, not abstract concepts. We’ve already cut carbon emissions per product by 34% (2024) and doubled our refill formats. Your challenge is to help us hit our 60% reduction goal by 2030.

Internships / Apprenticeships

  • It’s a full-time role focused on real work, not observation. You’ll own actual projects, work alongside experts and learn fast. Because it’s a short-term work experience, it’s the best way to test what you enjoy, figure out what you don’t and decide if L’Oréal is where you want to start your career.

  • It depends on the market. By default, on university campuses, our ambassadors direct candidates to the L'Oréal website. Additionally, we encourage students to take part in L’Oréal Brandstorm, as the experience will make your CV stand out more when you apply for an internship. Find out more details here: www.brandstorm.loreal.com.

  • You get actual ownership from day one. We don’t do long shadowing phases. You will pitch ideas, manage stakeholders and make decisions that impact the business. It’s a demanding environment, which means you’ll learn how to navigate complexity and deliver results faster than you would elsewhere. The resilience and business sense you build here will set the foundation for the rest of your career.

  • With four divisions and 40 brands, trust us: we don’t do “typical days” here! Our interns take on real, high-impact challenges, with strong support from their team and manager every step of the way. We love seeing students grow and unlock their full potential in whatever field they choose to join.

  • Working hours depend on the market you join, but this is a good question to ask during your interview. We focus on results rather than "clock watching." While we have core collaboration hours to ensure teams can work together, we trust our employees to manage their energy and output responsibly.

  • You’ll receive regular coaching and feedback from your manager to help you identify your strengths and areas for growth. You’ll also work alongside different teams, so stay curious and take every opportunity to learn about their areas of expertise.

L'Oréal Brandstorm competition

  • Just ask the thousands of alumni who started their careers at L’Oréal through Brandstorm. You’ll be amazed at how far many of them have gone.

  • They’re two very different paths. L’Oréal Brandstorm is a global competition that boosts your visibility and can open the door to an internship. Within L’Oréal, it’s widely recognised as a strong signal of potential. An internship, meanwhile, is hands-on experience where you’ll work on real projects as part of a team.

  • It’s simple. Head to the L’Oréal Brandstorm website, www.brandstorm.loreal.com., and complete your registration.

Get Ready to Apply

  • While degrees in science, engineering, marketing or business are common, we truly value diverse backgrounds. What matters most is your skills, agility and ability to learn, not the exact subject you studied, unless the role requires specific technical expertise.

  • It all depends on the role you’re applying for. Looking for clues? The job description usually tells you what we value most. Once you’ve identified the key skills, bring them to life in your CV through your past experiences. Show, don’t just tell. And don’t stop there: explore careers.loreal.com and our social channels. The more you understand us, the stronger your application will be.

  • First, we review applications and shortlist the strongest profiles. If selected, you’ll meet a Talent Acquisition Manager for an initial interview focused on cultural fit: your motivations, ambitions and alignment with our entrepreneurial, agile mindset. If successful, you’ll move on to a business interview with your future manager, where we’ll explore your technical skills and how you match the role. Most importantly: be yourself. We want to meet the real you.

  • Yes. If you know someone who currently works here, feel free to ask them to refer you through our internal employee referral system before you submit an application externally. It’s a win-win.

  • Set up job alerts to stay updated on roles that match your skills and interests. We encourage you to wait for the right opportunity, one that truly fits your goals, rather than applying for roles that don’t.

  • Unless the role specifically asks for a cover letter, we don’t expect one, as we focus on your CV. We encourage you not to write something generic; instead, add a short, impactful summary at the top of your CV to explain who you are, what you’re looking for and the value you bring.

  • If your profile is selected, a recruiter will reach out to schedule an interview. If not, you’ll still receive an email update. As multiple teams may be hiring in parallel, timelines can vary, but you can always track your application status through your candidate profile.

Get Ready to Interview

  • Our interviews usually last between 45 and 60 minutes. We respect your time, and ours, so we keep them focused and to the point.

Get Ready to Join

  • Absolutely, it’s in our DNA. We don’t just welcome new ideas, we expect them. See a better, smarter or more sustainable way to do things? Pitch it.

  • Through our F.I.T. (Follow-up and Integration Track) programme. It’s not just a one-day orientation; it’s a personalised journey over several months. You’ll have dedicated meetings with stakeholders, brand immersions and potentially a mentor or a “buddy” to help you navigate our unique culture.

  • Just come well-rested and open-minded. If you'd like a head start, take a look at the L’Oréal Groupe LinkedIn page to explore our latest innovations, but there’s no homework before day one.

  • Your equipment will be ready within your first few days. We also offer a centralised, user-friendly IT portal called MyServices, where you can easily manage software requests and access tech support as you settle in.

  • We believe in the power of presence. Creative sparks often happen best when we’re face-to-face. At the same time, we offer a hybrid model, typically two days remote per week, depending on the role and country, to balance collaboration with flexibility. You should discuss this directly with your new manager to clarify.

  • We are a "United Nations of Beauty." With around 165 nationalities, our offices are incredibly diverse. French is our heritage, but English is our shared business language, bringing a truly international perspective to how we work together.

  • Here, interns are full team members from day one, with real responsibilities. You’ll have a dedicated manager, access to the F.I.T. programme, and a community of fellow interns to grow with. In fact, many of our senior leaders began their careers as interns or apprentices.
