Digital Marketing at L’Oréal: where technology meets creativity
At L'Oréal, Digital Marketing is the winning combination of Maths and Magic
Your north star is the beauty consumer - understanding their journey, anticipating their needs, and meeting them at every touchpoint with the right content, the right message, the right experience. Spanning 4 divisions and 40 international brands, you'll work across media, content, advocacy & influence, CRM and digital services - using data to drive decisions, AI to personalise at scale, and creativity to make it all resonate. Digital isn't a support function here. It's how our brands grow.

What our people say
I joined externally in Singapore as the digital media lead in the CDMO. While I had the media expertise, I was driven to grow beyond that, seeking a divisional role where I could make a difference with our brands. L'Oréal took a bet on my potential, supporting my transition to leverage my strengths and embrace new skills for my professional development.

How you grow in Digital Marketing
Your evolving career depends on what you want to learn and the results you drive. Here are three ways you can build your path:
-
-
Grow within your expertise
Stay focused and master your craft. Whether it's Media, CRM (Consumer Relationship Management), or CMI (Consumer Market Insights), you can build a career as a high-level specialist, growing and navigating through the organisation.
-
-
Become a generalist
You can rotate through different digital disciplines (for example, from media to Advocacy & Influence or from DDX/CRM to content) to acquire new skills and ultimately lead cross-functional strategy.
-
-
Pivot to a new field
Your digital skills can open doors across the business. When the time is right, you can take what you’ve learned into a different function like E-commerce, Brand Management or Data.

L’Oréal is a matrix organization, hence digital here isn't one isolated department. It’s embedded right into the business. You won't work in a silo; you’ll be part of a collaborative setup that generally looks like this:
At a brand or division level in global teams: You could be attached to a specific brand (like Lancôme, CeraVe, or Garnier) within one of our four divisions. In this setup, you create consistent & unique 360 consumer experiences globally, understanding brand DNA, consumer needs & expectations.
At a zone, or local level: Our Zone teams act as regional hubs, adapting the strategy for their part of the world. Our local country teams develop tailor-made activation plans adapted to consumer needs and local specificities; they drive the actual business performance on the ground.
At a corporate level: you sit in a central experts team that supports all brands, all divisions & all regions to lead the digital transformation globally. You develop excellence in execution guidelines & golden rules, cooperative mindset across brands, expertise with multiple problematics.

Yes, absolutely! Moving from Expertise (CDMO/Digital) to Business (Brand Management/Marketing) is not only possible but is a highly encouraged career path at L'Oréal. In fact, moves from digital into marketing have tripled in recent years because this cross-experience is key to develop future leaders.
You are expected to pilot your own career. You can deepen your digital expertise across different brands, divisions or geographies, or broaden your profile by exploring a new digital discipline. Both paths are valued and actively supported.

We use generative AI every day to make our workflows smarter and more creative. Generative AI is used to boost productivity and creativity through a set of dedicated internal tools and protocols.
You will work with everyday tools such as L’Oréal GPT, our secure internal platform, and CreAItech, our engine for augmented content creation. One rule always applies: there is always a human in the loop. AI supports and accelerates creativity, but it never replaces human judgement.
